FAQs

In light of COVID-19 we want you to know your health and safety are our top priority. We’re still figuring things out and will keep you posted about any changes to our wedding. So, we will continue to plan the July wedding until we are told it is not possible. We will strive to follow best practice for safety to our guests, vendors, and self. We understand that for some you will not be comfortable attending, and that is OK. You each have a special place in our hearts and we are truly grateful for your love. Thank you for your patience. XOXO
Question

Will Transportation be Provided from the Hotel To and From the Venue?

Answer

Yes, check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.

Question

I just love my camera and take great pictures - do you mind?

Answer

Thanks for asking. We are requesting an unplugged ceremony, meaning that cell phones are put away during the ceremony. We have hired both professional photographers and videographers to capture our special day. Please free to take candid shots at the courtyard cocktail hour and reception.

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

Yes, we love our cousins. If their names were included in the invitation please bring them. Just remember, unattended children will be given extra sugar and caffeine, so do your best to keep a watchful eye.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer it if it was just you. Thanks for understanding.

Question

Any Tips for High Altitude.

Answer

Drink Water: When you’re out and about in the Pikes Peak region, it’s critical that you drink a lot of water. Don’t wait to get thirsty to decide you need a drink. And if you’re super active and working up a sweat, it doesn’t hurt to also slip in a sport drink with electrolytes into the rotation. Start the water intake early. It’ll help you adjust properly and get you acclimated much faster if you’re already hydrated when you get here. Monitor the Booze-Intake: At higher altitudes, it’s easy to get super tipsy, super-fast — completely by accident. Now, we have a ton of great breweries, and distilleries so managing this can be particularly tricky. However, you don’t have to outright abstain. Take it slow when you do imbibe, matching your alcoholic beverages with lots of water and avoid drinking on an empty stomach. If you begin to feel a bit woozy, back off and drink some water. The beer, wine and whiskey isn’t going anywhere, there’s no need to try to drink it all in one sitting.

Question

What Will the Weather Be Like in July?

Answer

The Pikes Peak Region boasts 300 days of sunshine per year - the other days we have company! Summertime in the Colorado Rockies is beautiful! The average temperature in July is a sunny 80-85 degrees, with temperatures cooling to 60-65 degrees in the evening. The wedding ceremony will be outdoors, with weather contingency plan to move indoors. But whether cool or cloudy, the sunshine at elevation is strong, so do yourself a favor and wear sunscreen and shades. The temperature will drop once the sun drops behind the mountains, so you might want to have a light wrap or jacket for the evening chill.
