Zach and Janae met at Northern Arizona while Zach was interning in the weight room (thanks Coach Darcy). Timing didn't work out at the time and the two became good friends. Janae claims that Zach was the first to ever make it out of the "friendzone". Zach claims that the "friendzone" is not a thing. Either way, it worked out.
Zach knew from the beginning that the way to Janae's heart would be dogs and ice cream. He brought his yellow lab from San Diego and finally convinced Janae to go on a date. They went off-roading with Zach and some friends. The next date would occur almost a year and a half later.
Zach and I spent the day on Mackinac Island with my family. There were so many clues, but I was oblivious to all of them. We shared a tandem bike, became a biker gang with my family and rode along the island. I already thought this was a day that I'll never forget and had no idea what was about to come next. We finished the day with a horse and buggy ride to a spot Zach remembered riding by earlier. Zach got down on one knee and asked the best question ever. The spot and day was so speical for so many reasons. It's safe to say Zach knows my heart better than I do and he made this a day I will never forget.
