Camping and Other Details

The Wedding Website of Yvonne Gallardo and Derek Hancey
Our venue belongs to the Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington. They were kind enough to rent the space out to us for a weekend. The camp spots are very primitive, this is not like a standard camp ground. If you choose to camp, you will likely need to pack and walk your camping items into the camp spot we assign to you. Your car will be parked and easily accessible, but a walk from the camp sites. No camp trailer hook ups or drive up camping are available. There are also 70 bunks in the main lodge for campers if you choose to utilize those. There are lots of communal bathrooms, showers and mirrors for getting ready in the lodge and near Pavy's Pavilion. Please reach out with any questions or to request to have a camp spot nearby to another guest. Depending on how many people choose to camp, we may assign two tents to a few larger sites. If you have any questions that are not listed on here, please text Yvonne directly at 503-544-4460.
Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

No. The venue does not allow any animals on site, so as much as we love your furry friends, they do need to stay home.

Question

What is the bunk situation like?

Answer

There are 70 bunks along the top floor of the main lodge. They all have a mattress, but no bedding. If you are planning on staying in the bunks, please plan on supplying your own sheet, blanket and pillow. The bunks are not private, but that’s part of the fun! They are all twin size bunks.

Question

Can I go home between events? Or stay at a hotel?

Answer

Definitely! If you plan on leaving the venue, we will need to arrange for your car to be situated so you can drive out, please reach out to us and let us know if you plan on staying off site on either day and we can try and organize parking accordingly.

Question

What is cell reception like at the venue.

Answer

Short answer is bad. There is not great cell reception on the grounds. We will be providing a Wi-Fi password for the lodge when you arrive, but keep in mind this venue is off the beaten path, so connectivity is not great. So download your shows, music or kids distraction videos ahead of time. There is a phone at the lodge in case anyone needs to be reached in emergency. I will send that number out the week before the wedding and you can share it with babysitters or family if you wish.

Question

Parking

Answer

We would appreciate if campers would carpool if possible. There is somewhat limited parking at the venue and we would love to be able to accommodate everyone! People who plan on camping both nights might need to get parked in by folks who plan on leaving after events. We will have one vehicle available for errands or emergencies if necessary.
