Born in a small city in South Korea, raised in evergreen state of Washington, and now in crabby town of Annapolis! The bride's name is Yun, like June except with a Y and no E at the end! She loves to travel, eat yummy food, and enjoy life with Jack!
Jack Meier

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and grew up all over the Midwest. He uses the word "pop" to describe fountain drinks- not "soda" and definitely not "coke." He loves the great outdoors, the Chicago Cubs, and anything that puts a smile on Yun's face- even at his own dispense.
Jen Pitassi
Matron of Honor
Jen and Yun deployed to Afghanistan together in 2012. They shared a bunk bed for 6 months and relied on each other during tough times. It was during this time that they developed a lifelong friendship. Jen is now married to her best friend, Ben, and the two live in San Diego where Ben is currently stationed. Yun couldn't possibly imagine walking down the aisle without her battle buddy next to her.
Tony Meier
Best Man
Tony is Jack's oldest sibling. They are almost exactly ten years apart in age (only off by four days)! Jack always looked up to Tony and admired his hard work and hilariously unique sense of humor. He was the type of oldest sibling a large family needed to keep everyone in check. Jack is looking forward to having one of his top role models stand next to him on the big day!
Becca Cackett
Maid of Honor
Becca and Yun deployed to Afghanistan together in 2013. The two spent many cold days and nights in the mountains. Becca encouraged Yun every step of the way when Yun was getting her package ready for the Naval Academy during their deployment. Becca rocks her blonde pixie haircut better than anyone in the world and has a heart of gold. She is most likely to be found at the animal shelter or fostering animals in need. She is the big sister Yun always dreamed of having.
Joe Meier
Best Man
If you think Jack and Joe are twins by looking at the picture of them, you are mistaken. Although they enjoy similar things such as Chicago sports teams and getting a sick pump at the gym, Joe is two and a half years the elder. Joe taught Jack what it means to be humble. As kids, Joe was always effective at teaching Jack a lesson (sometimes the hard way) if he became too arrogant. Jack has carried the humility he learned from Joe throughout his Naval career. Semper fidelis, Capt Meier!
Rosemary Brinegar
Bridesmaid
Rosemary and Yun first met in 2014 at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. One of Yun's fondest memories with Rosemary is when the two dropped an entire bowl of pasta in the snow, after waiting hours for it to be delivered, while walking back to the dorm room in a snowstorm. Rosemary is a talented pole vaulter at the Naval Academy and will become a Navy Pilot upon commissioning. Yun looks forward to living vicariously through Rosemary's flying days as an aviator and sharing many bowls of pasta together, without dropping them in the snow of course.
Jonathan Lin
Groomsman
Jonathan was one of Jack's two roommates at the Naval Academy. He was never afraid to call out Jack for procrastinating and was always happy to give constructive criticism. They may have butted heads occasionally but Jonathan usually gave Jack advice he needed to hear. After graduating from the Academy, the duo were called to become sailing instructors for the incoming Plebes (freshmen). They were able to bond over their affinity for Pho (Vietnamese soup), snowboarding/skiing, and video games. After Jack told him about his relationship with Yun, Jonathan told him to video chat with her everyday. Jack did just that. Thanks for the advice!
Julia Fries
Bridesmaid
Julia and Yun started their friendship in 2014 while attending the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. They quickly became great friends after discovering their mutual love for brunch, ice cream, and J. Crew. The two have gone on numerous adventures since then and have stood by each other through life's many ups and downs. Julia will commission with Yun from the Naval Academy in May 2019 and go on to Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC to become a submarine officer. Yun looks forward to sharing many more milkshake and brunch dates with Julia for the years to come.
Sam Steinfels

Sam was Jack, Jonathan, and Richard's honorary fourth roommate at the Naval Academy. Having both grown up within large families in Illinois, Jack and Sam were able to bond over their similar backgrounds. Sam pushed Jack to be his best at the Naval Academy. He challenged Jack morally, mentally, and physically whether he knew it or not. Sam may have been Jack's peer and friend but he was also a role model for Jack. Immediately after graduation, they traveled across Europe and had many great experiences together including almost burning down an AirBnB after using a plug that was not rated properly for Spanish outlets. Yun travelled with the two guys to Europe for the initial part of their extravaganza but stayed behind in Germany while they pushed westward. Sam witnessed the start of it all!
Dambi Park

Dambi and Yun quickly became best friends when they first met in tenth grade. The two spent countless hours taking naps at YMCA after swimming and baking up a storm after school. One of Yun's favorite memory with Dambi is getting ready for high school winter dance and binge watching all the Korean dramas. Dambi will forever remain one of Yun's closest friends and Yun is so grateful for their friendship.
Alex Mangas

Jack and Alex have been very good friends since sophomore year of high school. They would spend many of their weekends together listening to loud EDM music in Alex's Pontiac named Chester, swimming in Jack's backyard, playing basketball at the church's parking lot, making and eating ridiculous food creations such as the Cheesosaurus Rex, and other juvenile things. The reserved Jack and vivacious Alex were an odd duo but sometimes the best friendships are just that. Although life has taken them in separate directions, they continue to stay in touch even to this day and remain close friends.
Richard Logazino
Groomsman
Richard was Jack's other Naval Academy roommate. They became good friends during their first ever semester at Annapolis. Both of them endured tasks from the upperclassmen such as performing famous dances and recreating famous photos together. Jonathan, Richard, and Jack all had very similar interests which made selecting roommates easy. After graduation, Jack and Richard found themselves at Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC. They sat next to each other and were able to grind through Nuke School by using similar learning techniques from their time studying 'Professional Knowledge' together as Plebes. If you have any questions regarding TV shows, movies, video games, sports, and other miscellaneous topics, ask Richard because he is probably the subject matter expert.
