Of course! We couldn't imagine our special day without the little ones! We will have a separate kids table so our little guests can run wild with their imagination and draw their hearts out. We will also have a few, super sweet and fun, Midshipmen from USNA (Bride's friends) to hang out with the little ones until the early shuttle departure time.
The ceremony will be held at the beautiful USNA Chapel. There will be a lot of people in military uniform. It is most likely going to be hot and humid in Annapolis on our wedding day. So please use your best judgement!
No. You will have to find a way to get to the Academy grounds for the ceremony. Uber and Lyft drivers are prevalent in the area and offer fair prices. Hotel Annapolis (one of the hotels listed on our "Travel" page) is a little less than one mile away from the ceremony so this would be a good option if you would rather walk and not worry about finding a ride. Once you get to the ceremony, transportation will be provided for you for the rest of the day!
USNA is a military base; therefore, unless you have a DOD ID, you must enter through the Visitor Center at Gate 1.
Anyone with a locally prepared USNA ID Card or a DOD credential, including military retirees and dependents may drive onto USNA. All others will need to park outside the Academy and walk in through Gate 1. All visitors 21 years of age or older must have a valid picture ID. Visitors under the age of 21 who do not have a valid picture ID must be escorted by an adult with a valid form of identification.
Our reception will be outside! Think of summer night garden party. It will be inside a tent with flooring but there will be grass so wedges instead of heels are recommended for the ladies!
Open pit beef, ham, and turkey!! BBQ Pork and BBQ smoked Chicken! Veggies and dip! Salad w/ variety of dressings! Rolls! Mac & Cheese! We will also have vegetarian option!
