We met during our freshman year of college at University of California, Irvine after being placed in the same dorm. Initially, Shawn spent weekends visiting his brother in Newport, so Jen rarely saw him. After one afternoon of watching television with our dorm mates, we quickly grew closer as we bonded over our love of sushi, tropical vacations, and shared values. We remained best friends for years, and always found ourselves coming back to each other. By senior year of college, we decided that it was our chance to make it work. And we have ever since!
