It was 12:00 am on New Years 2020. Laughter, joy and silliness filled the air. We were singing karaoke for the first time in our lives. COVID made me do it! Right after the NYC’s apple count down, hugs and kisses were exchanged and grand wishes were expressed. Just as I started to pick the next karaoke song, he got on his knee and asked my brother for “the thing” he was supposed to save. At this point I froze! Everybody froze! I had chest pain, I saw magic carpets flying, my mother’s nose started to itch and my brother couldn’t remember what “the thing” was. Shehab’s confidant had lost “the thing”. After a few moments of desperation, moments that seemed like hours but in fact were seconds… “the thing” appeared. Shehab was still on his knees, at which time he proposed with a stunning diamond ring. The picture above was taken the night he proposed, after “the thing” was found.
