Our love story began through a modern day format- online! Matt and I first met virtually on Match, but ironically, we were never matched! Thankfully, due to Matt's computer skills, he found me through the extended search feature. We then met in person at Starbucks, and had such a great conversation that we were asked to leave due to the store closing. After our meet-cute, we went on many dating adventures, both in and out of the city. We always had great conversations throughout all of our dates, and my face always hurt from smiling.
For those of you who don't know this about me, I can be very hard to surprise! Matt, however, did just that when he proposed! Because I work so close to Matt, we are able to eat dinner together each night before I head back to Doylestown. Thinking that it was a typical Thursday, I texted Matt to let him know that I was finishing up with work, and that I would be heading over soon. How very wrong I was! Little did I know, Matt was rushing back home from the jewelry store so that he could beat me upstairs. When I pulled onto his street, I noticed his face mask was on the ground outside. He said that he dropped it while putting out the recycling that morning...hint: this was a fib. Thinking nothing of it, I continued up the stairs to his condo, talking about work, and it wasn't until I was standing at the top of his steps that I found my surprise! As I stood on his landing, I saw that the entire floor of his condo was covered in pink balloons. As I turned around to ask him why there were balloons all over his floor, he got down on one knee, and proposed! So what started off as a typical Thursday turned into one of the best days (and biggest surprises) of my life!
