There are a number of cable cars and trams around the Lake. One is located in Como (the Funicolare Como-Brunate). It runs about every 10 minutes and at the top there is a lighthouse and a number of bars and restaurants (advanced booking is recommended as these fill up quickly). There is also a cable car from Argegno to Pigra which makes trips from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. At the top, you can find restaurants and hiking trails. Parking near the base of the cable car is limited, so you may need to park a bit further away and walk to the cable car landing.
