Travel Note

Camping at McCabe Flat Campground

There is the option to camp onsite at our venue, McCabe Flat Campground, Thursday - Sunday nights. If you are planning on this option, please let us know in your RSVP. Notes: we are trying to minimize vehicles at McCabe, so tent-camping is preferred to sleeping in your vehicle. Please notify us if you need your vehicle there so we can include it in the count. The campground has picnic tables, BBQs and pit toilets. There is no running water. If you are planning to camp longer than just Saturday night, make sure to bring your own drinking water. If you are flying in and hoping to camp, but need camping supplies, let us know in advance. We may be able to wrangle some extras for you.

Flight

Fresno Airport

Fresno is the closest airport to Midpines. If flying into Fresno, consider renting a car. The YARTS bus is also available for public transit but navigating around Midpines without a car can be difficult.

Hotel

Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort

The Yosemite Bug is the closest hotel to the venue, and also has a restaurant and spa on the premises. We can't recommend them enough! They are holding a block of rooms for wedding guests, but ask that guests book by 3/15/26. After that date, there is no guarantee of availability. To book your room with them, call 209-989-3598 ext. 100 and mention the wedding.

Travel Note

Alternative Lodging

There are many hotels in Mariposa if you prefer a hotel closer to town, with more amenities (closer to grocery store, restaurants, etc.). There are other hotels closer to Yosemite near El Portal. Keep in mind, this would mean driving a windy mountain highway in the dark after the wedding to return to your room. There are also Airbnbs locally if you would prefer to stay in a house.
