Drive up hwy 35 and take in the gorgeous views of orchards, wineries and mountains as you head up to Mt Hood. (42 mile drive to Government Camp from downtown Hood River)

Multnomah Falls is only about 30 miles away from downtown Hood River. Stop there on your way from Portland to take in the beautiful views or even hike up to the top if you have time.
