Bazbeaux pizza is another Indy hot spot with plenty of history to back it up. They have 3 locations: Mass Ave, Broadripple, and Carmel, so no matter where you are in the city, you will not be far from a delicious pizza option! Pro tip: order the cheese bread with marinara and the greek salad with both the creamy basil and vinaigrette dressings.
Forget any last minute necessities? Just looking to kill a few hours? Keytone at the Crossing has a great mix of high-end shops, department stores, and healthy-ish food options. It also includes a movie theater, free parking, and is centrally-located to the hotel and wedding events.
Broad Ripple is one of Indy's most popular areas. Visit Just Pop In for a drink and some homemade popcorn, the famous Cake Bake store for some of the best cake you can find, or check out Kilroy's to try the IU bar's famous Long Island drinks and/or cheese and pepperoni filled breadsticks.
For brunch/lunch visit Cafe Patachou at one of its three locations: River Crossing right by the mall/the north side Marriott, 49th and Penn (closer to Meridian Hills,) or Downtown. This is one of Indy's top notch spots, owned by the city's most well known restaurateur (Martha Hoover).
Take a stroll down the canal downtown and stop in to the NCAA Hall of Champions, Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum, or the Eiteljorg Museum. This is also the spot we got engaged!
Take a stroll down Mass Ave downtown to check out some of Indy's best bars, restaurants, and shops.
If this is your first trip to Indy you will likely hear about the famous shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo's. You don't have to make the trip downtown to get it, necessarily, as you can also order it at the Harry & Izzy's restaurant locations on 86th Street or at the airport. However, if you find yourself downtown, definitely stop in to Elmo's restaurant or to their upstairs speakeasy-style cocktail lounge 1933 for a drink and an appetizer.
Our ceremony/reception location!
If you're a fan of wings, you have to stop by one of our favorite places in Indy! Ale Emporium is a great spot for lunch with televisions all around for you sports fans. We recommend the hermanaki wings and pizza!
