Wedding Weekend in Scotland

Thu, Oct 8, 2026, 8:00 pm - Mon, Oct 12, 2026, 10:30 am

Help us write our story... Grab your kilt and let's party! We will kick off in Edinburgh on Thursday Night, and enjoy the weekend on the grounds of Cambo Estate in Fife. The RSVPs include key events, meals and activities where having an accurate headcount would be helpful, so please do RSVP for what you will join us for! Please see full details below.

Chapter 1: The Night Before

9:00 pm

Come as you are - this is a casual first night gathering.

We encourage guests to arrive on Thursday to account for any delayed flights, lost luggage, etc. and have time to ease into this fun packed weekend. For those who are able to arrive and rally, we invite you to join us at Flight Club for some drinks and good times!

Chapter 2: Let's Get Rolling

2:30 pm

Enjoy your morning in Edinburgh and after a proper Scottish Lunch, please meet us with your bags packed and be ready to hit the road! We are offering transportation to all our guests at this time from this location. Alternatively, you are free to get to the venue however you choose - rent a car or hire a taxi/uber. An uber to the venue typically costs around £130 and the trip is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Chapter 3: It's About Dram Time

6:00 pm

Neat, on the rocks, or just here for the vibes - come as you are.

Take a wee bit of time to arrive, settle in, and take in the grounds at Cambo. Then we’ll gather for a special whisky tasting- our favorite way to say welcome to Scotland and kick off the weekend the proper way. A wee dram, a big cheers, and the festivities officially begin. Slàinte!

Chapter 4: Scotland Supper Club

8:15 pm

Time to fuel up, Buttercup! After whisky tasting, let’s line the stomach and keep the good times going. We’ll keep dinner fun and low-key with one of the most popular local food trucks... served with plenty of Scottish flair. Come hungry, chat with someone new, and settle in for a relaxed meal with great views, even better conversation, and our favorite people. Then we’ll 'step' straight into the evening’s festivities.

Chapter 5: The Jig is Up - Come Awa’ & Ceilidh

9:00 pm

Come as you are and bring your dancing shoes!

Dinner first, then pub quiz and a ceilidh—because we’re doing Scotland the proper way. We’ll kick things off promptly after dinner with some pints and a pub quiz - so choose your tables wisely! We want you to sit with new friends who know the other half of our couple. After this friendly competition, it's straight to the ceilidh (pronounced “KAY-lee”): a traditional Scottish social dance where the music is lively, the vibe is high, and everyone joins in. Think group dances, lots of spinning and laughing, and a room full of people all doing their best together - it’s more “joyful chaos” than “perfect steps.” If you’ve never done one, you’re in great company - just follow the caller, jump in when you’re ready, and enjoy a proper Scottish night. Come awa’, bring your best energy (and maybe comfy shoes), and let’s make it a right good time.

Chapter 6: Wee Ramble Before the Rings

9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Take the morning slow — this is your time to wander, wonder, and fall a little bit in love with Cambo. Now is the time to choose your own adventure, before we embark on our adventure together! Stroll the Georgian walled garden, explore the grounds, and follow the woodland paths along the burn as they wind toward Cambo Sands and the North Sea (yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds). Need a cozy stop? Swing by the Stables Café (and the visitor centre/shop) for a coffee, a bite, and a little browse. If you’re still feeling spirited, you can book a tour/tasting at Kingsbarns Distillery — because “when in Scotland…” is basically a requirement. And if your version of “spa” is sea air + deep exhale, there’s even a seaside sauna at Kingsbarns Beach/Cambo Sands for the brave (and the bliss-seekers). Note: You'll want to book ahead. No schedule, no pressure — just a lovely morning. Please be back and wedding-ready by 3:00 PM.

Chapter 7: The Chapter We’ve Been Waiting For

3:30 pm

Please take advantage of the beautiful castle venue and dress to impress! We request black tie optional or cocktail attire. Please note: Out ceremony is tentatively planned to be outside. Consider comfortable footwear for grass.

Settle in. This is the good part. The part where we make it official. This is the moment we’ve been building toward—where we get to stand side by side and choose each other, out loud, in front of the people who made us who we are. No long winded explanations needed, no big explanations—just the clearest thing we’ve ever known: this is us, on purpose. We’re planning for an outdoor ceremony, because Scotland does “romantic backdrop” better than anywhere else. But Scotland also has it's own opinions about weather, so come ready to be a little flexible. If the skies decide to add their own plot twist, we may pivot to an indoor location on site. Same vows. Same energy. Same forever - just with less water works (hopefully). Unplugged note: We’d love it if you could be fully present with us — our photographer has it covered. Weather note (Scotland-proof): Scotland likes to keep things interesting — bring a light layer just in case.

Chapter 8: Our Soft Launch... the ‘We’re Married’ Intermission

4:30 pm

Welcome to the “we’re married” intermission. Consider this the soft launch of the celebration—the moment to exhale. We’re married. You’ve made it. Now grab a drink, find your people, and settle into the vibe while the night starts to build. Annie & Sam will slip away briefly for golden hour photos, then jump right back in—fully ready for the main event.

Chapter 9: Reception Feast and All the Feels

6:00 pm

Welcome to the reception and dinner —where we stop pretending we can be calm about this and fully lean in. Expect good food, toasts that actually mean something, and wine, beer and champagne to keeps us happy.

Chapter 10: Turn it up a Scotch Notch

8:00 pm

The playlist is mixed. The vibes are not. We have a dance floor that’s about to get well loved. The ceremony was the promise - this is the celebration. This is the part where the “we did it” turns into “let’s celebrate it,” all together, in Scotland. So let's hit the dance floor! Enjoy dancing, dessert, and let your hair down! We’ll keep the celebration going with a cash bar open until midnight. We’ll gather, we’ll cheer, and we’ll take the night the distance—Slàinte to forever. Let’s make it count.

Chapter 11: The Morning After

9:00 am

Take a free morning to rest and reset. Enjoy the grounds, have a lie in, or meet the day and go golfing.

Chapter 12: Going Full Getty

2:00 pm

Casual/Athleisure. We will be outside so dress accordingly

Time to go full Getty. We’re putting our own spin on the Highland games: equal parts friendly competition and organized chaos. Whether you’re in it for the glory or just here for the commentary, there’s something for everyone. Jump in, cheer someone on, or do both. The goal isn’t *necessarily* winning - it’s a right good time.

Chapter 13: The Great Refuel

6:00 pm

After a day of friendly competition, it’s time to refuel. We’ll have a casual, crowd-pleasing dinner served up hot - perfect for regrouping, relaxing, and reliving the highlights. No formality, no fuss - just good food and even better company.

Chapter 14: Movie Night

7:30 pm

Monday, October 12, 2026

Chapter 15: Goodbye

10:30 am

As our weekend comes to a close, we will head back to Edinburgh and go our own ways. Transportation is offered to all our guests back to Edinburgh central or you may schedule your own transportation to a different destination. If you opt to depart on your own - please coordinate with Sam and Annie to ensure a smooth departure. Coaches will depart promptly at 10:30 AM for Edinburgh, with arrival back at the original pick-up point by 12:30 PM. Come ready, coffee in hand, and we’ll send you off properly. We’ll keep it efficient, but we’re not skipping the hugs. Thank you for making this weekend full of love and the start of a beautiful new chapter. We are so grateful to have written this part with you!
