A great way to learn about the city. You will cover most of the city if you take a walking tour. If you Google Madrid Walking Tour there are many to choose from but we booked through this website last time.
Enjoy a Flamenco Show! They're all over Madrid but this one was suggested by our tour guide.
-Gran Via- Stroll down this bustling avenue, known for its shops, restaurants, and theaters. -Royal Palace of Madrid- Take a tour of the official residence of the Spanish royal family -Plaza Mayor- Eat tapas and grab a drink in the heart of Madrid built in 1580 -El Retiro Park- Beautiful park to walk around -Sobrino de Botín- Oldest restaurant in the world, established in 1725, known for the suckling pig. You can take a tour then eat in the restaurant. Book this months in advanced! -Mercado de San Miguel- Popular food market. There is a smaller one called Mercado Antón Martín that is less busy and more affordable. -Chocolatería San Ginés- Founded in 1894, is one of Madrid's oldest and most iconic chocolate shops, known for its classic chocolate con churros. Usually a long line. I think it's overrated but it is cool to visit. -If you're sick of walking find a tapas and wine bar and sit outside :) -ZEN MASAHE. Oriental Filipino Massage- For a great cheap massage :)
-Jack's Library- Speakeasy where you need to figure out the password to get in. I'm not going to tell you it since we struggled to get in :) Good luck! -MASARU- Japanese cocktail bar -Viva Madrid- We love this bar and this area. For people bringing kids- parents had their babies in here until midnight. They also serve some tapas. -Salmon Guru- Currently #23 on World’s 50 Best Bars. Same owners as Viva Madrid and right around the corner. Fun place! -La Analógica- Cool vinyl cocktail bar.
