Wedding Party

Meet the Adventuring Party The people who will make the adventure of our marriage a success. They have provided us with insight and encouragement through these first stages of our relationship and they will continue to be our community long into our marriage. Katelynn “Kate” Owen

Maid of Honor

Kate is my younger sister and closest confidant. Mom always says a good sibling relationship is borne of quantity time rather than quality time, and we have been nigh inseparable since Kate was born. Whether it was sharing a bedroom until my early teens, reading bedtime stories, playing brutal games of capture the flag, or watching Legally Blonde on repeat, we have always been at one another’s side. When Devon proposed, I knew right away that I'd be calling on Kate to help magic my big day together. Kate studied Fine Art at SMU, so she’s the design eye and probably the reason anything will come together on the wedding day. - Hannah

Tabitha “Tabi” Willingham

Best Woman

I’ve known Tabi for pretty much her whole life, probably because she is my little sister. Although we grew up in different households, we always shared similar interests such as video games and anime. When we were all in our youths we would recite dances to hip and fresh songs of the time, like “The Sailor Song” by Toybox and “Chocolatte” from that band I don’t remember. We would do this with Avery and Darion and have Micah film it for us to review. He probably still has those videos somewhere. Even now that we are adults we still find ways to bond and I’m excited to have her as my best Woman. - Devon

Benjamin “Ben” Johnson

Man of Honor

In our friend group, when we met, people joked about Ben and my strange dynamic: “they’re so different! It’s amazing they get along.” They just didn’t get it. Ben has been a solid, well-reasoned, and grounding friend in my life. He still is. He’s got a strong sense of right and wrong, and he gives advice worthy of king Solomon. I have always been an extrovert, but I am more than happy to slow down with Ben to breathe and drink some coffee. It has been six or so years since we two awkward homeschoolers first joked about our unique upbringings but somehow we still find time to be totally silent together. Ben will probably be the one keeping my head on straight during the day. - Hannah

Darion Willingham

Best Man

He is my twin. Ok I’ll add more. Darion and I have always been close friends. (no shit right?) Most people as kids usually struggle to find someone that shares their same interests. But me, I have Darion. Even though we have our own identities outside of being twins, we always enjoyed hanging out together. From pretending that we were zombie hunters to raiding monasteries as Vikings, it was never about competition, it was about working together. So it only makes sense that the (second to Hannah) closest person to me would be my Best Man. I look forward to working with him and kicking his ass at all the games that will be there. Oh yeah, this isn’t a competition. - Devon
