Sunday Best
Our ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM, and we know it is a bit earlier in the day, so feel free to keep things comfortable and classy. Think Sunday Best, polished and church appropriate. For the ladies, church appropriate dresses and skirts, or nicer slacks with blouses are all perfect. For the gentlemen, a button down with slacks works great. Dress nicely with an emphasis on modesty since the ceremony will take place in a Catholic church. There is also a gap between the ceremony and the reception if you wish to change. Parking Information Access to the Basilica is available through the Pope John Paul II Pavilion, which is located immediately west of the main church and accessed through the parking lot at 7th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhood.

Black Tie Optional
The celebration picks back up at 4:30PM with cocktail hour before the 6:00 PM reception and we’re turning up the elegance! For the reception, we kindly ask guests to change into Black Tie Optional attire. Cocktail dresses, evening gowns, suits, or tuxes are all perfect. Bring your best dance moves and your sharpest look — we can’t wait to party with you! Optional After Party

Thank you so much for celebrating our special day with us! After the reception, we’ll be heading off to soak in all the joy of the day, so we won’t be joining for the after-party. For those who’d like to keep the celebration going, here are some wonderful cocktail lounges and rooftop bars within walking distance: Blu – located on the 23rd floor of the The Pfister Hotel (424 E Wisconsin Ave). Approximate walk: about 5 minutes. The Outsider – rooftop bar on the 9th floor of the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel in the Historic Third Ward (310 E Chicago St). Approximate walk: about 10 minutes. The Sofie – a stylish cocktail lounge (777 N Jefferson St). Approximate walk: about 8 minutes. Enjoy, have fun, and please celebrate safely!
