WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO KIAWAH ISLAND?

Answer

We recommend flying into Charleston airport and either renting a car or ubering from the airport.

WHAT DO I DO AT THE KIAWAH GATE?

Answer

All guests entering Kiawah Island are required to show a car pass at the entrance. Your villa or hotel will provide you with one. Please keep this on your car as you will need to show it every time you enter or exit the island.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

Answer

While renting a car is not required, we highly recommend having one car per household as Ubers/Lyfts are not available on the island. We will have shuttles to take guests to the Welcome Party and the Wedding, but you will need your own transportation otherwise.

HOW WILL I GET TO THE WEDDING EVENTS?

Answer

We are providing shuttle service for those guests who prefer not to drive. Pickup locations are available at the following Island locations: - West Beach Conference Center (2 Shipwatch Road) - Corner of Eugenia Avenue & Low Oak Woods Road - The Sanctuary Hotel (1 Sanctuary Beach Drive) FRIDAY, MAY 15th: WELCOME PARTY shuttles will depart PROMPTLY at 7:30pm and will return passengers to the same locations after Welcome Party. SATURDAY, MAY 16th: WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION shuttles will depart PROMPTLY at 4:15pm and will return passengers to the same locations after the Ceremony and Reception. We will not have shuttles for the tennis tournament, so please plan ahead to either bike or drive there if attending.

SHOULD I RENT BIKES? IF SO, FROM WHERE?

Answer

Bikes are a great way to get around the island during the day! Kiawah Island is a nature preserve and therefore no streetlights at night, so we do not recommend biking after dark. We recommend Kiawah Island Bike rental or Alligator Bikes if you are interested in renting.
