You can’t visit Banff without seeing Lake Louise! Please note that the parking lot at Lake Louise fills up quickly so we recommend booking a shuttle from either Banff or Lake Louise village. There are many hikes around the lake for all fitness levels. We loved the Lake Agnes Teahouse, Big Beehive, and Plain of Six Glaciers hikes.
Moraine Lake was the backdrop of our engagement, so we highly recommend a trip here! Note that Moraine Lake is not accessible by car. You must book a shuttle to visit. Around Moraine Lake there are also many hikes. September is larch season so Larch Valley is a very popular hike this time of year and is accessible at Moraine Lake. You may also consider a night stay at Moraine Lake Lodge.
Deemed one of the most beautiful drives in the world, we highly recommend taking a day to drive the Icefields Parkway. The drive runs from Lake Louise to the town of Jasper and offers a chance to see many stunning views along the way. Note that there is no service along this drive. Make sure to plan out your stops ahead of time!
