We recommend that you spend most of your time in Little Tokyo. LA is massive, and especially with traffic patterns, it could be difficult to travel long distances around the city. We invite you to experience LA the way that we have: by finding nearby, walkable locations that highlight the city's history, diversity, and fantastic food scene.
This is a delicious, and famous, ramen place in the heart of Little Tokyo. We loved our visit there--the ramen is top-notch. It can get a bit of a line, so we recommend you arrive a little bit before or after peak meal times. This would be a wonderful pre-wedding early lunch!
Check out the architecturally significant Museum of Contemporary Art, which currently showcases a fascinating collection of rarely seen photorealism pieces. Admission is free, and it is an easy metro ride from Little Tokyo.
One stop away from Little Tokyo on the Metro A & E lines, The Broad is a fabulous and free modern art museum. Its fantastic rotating collection includes pieces by Basquiat, Rothko, Warhol, and many more. Tickets are free but the museum recommends reserving a ticket in advance.
Check out delicious, freshly made udon noodles at one of our favorite Little Tokyo spots. Come early to beat the lines!
