Things To Do

The Wedding Website of William Enderson and Patricia Needham
We are excited to share a few favorite spots from the area where Patti has been in law school—and where Will has frequently visited over the past three years. We’ve found some great places and hope you enjoy them too!

Dane County Farmers' Market

2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53703

We love starting our weekends here—it's the perfect place to grab fresh veggies, flowers, meats, cheeses, and more. Open Saturdays from 6:15 am–1:45 pm, right on the Capitol Square. Everything is grown or made in Wisconsin by the folks selling it. A true local gem!

Wisconsin State Capitol

2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53702

While you’re at the Farmers’ Market, take a moment to explore the stunning State Capitol Building—right in the heart of it all. Free tours are offered daily! Check the link for current tour times and availability.

Memorial Union Terrace

800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53706

A student (and local) favorite! No reservations needed—just enter on the east side of Memorial Union to find the iconic Terrace. With plenty of seating, great food and drink options, and unbeatable lake views, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the sun, sip a drink, and enjoy some of the best ice cream around.

Henry Vilas Zoo

702 South Randall Avenue, Madison, WI 53715

Looking for something kid-friendly? Head to Henry Vilas Zoo—open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and completely free! This AZA-accredited zoo is located next to Vilas Park and is dedicated to protecting the wonders of the natural world. Plan for a fun 1–2 hour visit!

Lake Monona Loop

Looking for something active to do? The Monona Lake Loop is an iconic way to experience the area with some of the best views in Madison. Located steps away from the hotels, this is a great way for bikers, walkers, or runners alike to explore the area and enjoy the fresh air.
