Kyle Leffel

Best Man

Susan Crooks has been paying me a ridiculous amount of money to be Will's friend, professional and DJ’ing coach for the last 8 years. Ever since meeting him his freshman year, I could tell he had talent. We’ve landed no big name concerts, but still waiting to hear from ComiCon. It’s been a profitable friendship to say the least. Excited to get to be a part of Will and Amanda’s big day!

Stevie Clapp

Matron of Honor

Will & I met during our first year working for Campus Outreach. We worked at different schools, but hung out during staff trainings & conferences. At one of these conferences, I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole. After that, I was privileged to disciple her & talk frequently about what God was teaching her. These meetings made me stronger in my own faith as I saw all the ways God was working in & through her. I was sad when I left Purdue at the beginning of her senior year. She promised we would be friends forever & through some very perfect circumstances, we both ended up going to IUPUI for nursing school! Our friendship has grown even more as we’ve walked with each other through school, life, and relationships. I am honored to be able to witness this marriage and to support them in it!

Jake Flagg

Best Man

It seems like just yesterday Will and I were scrubbing the halls of Beta Theta Pi. We met as pledge brothers our freshman year at IU and Will has since become one of my best friends. He was integral in my story of becoming a Christian our sophomore year and our friendship exponentially deepened from that point. He was by my side with a great head of hair when I got baptized (above pic) and by my side years later when I married the love of my life. It’s an honor and a joy to now get to stand by his side as he begins this new chapter of life with a bride-to-be as wonderful as Nicole.

Mariah Kerber

Matron of Honor

Hey y’all, I’m Mariah! Wife to Gabe, soon-to-be momma, florist, and long time roomie/best friend to the bride. Nicole and I have actually known each other since high school, but didn’t become friends until our freshman year at Purdue where we bonded over our love of Jesus, coffee, late night McDonalds trips, and our kitties. I knew Nicole was going to need someone who was willing to have the hard conversations, be her entertainment in a long car ride, and could put down as much food as she can. And the Lord has provided it in Will!! I love these two and can’t wait for this day!

Henry Crooks

Best Man

I have been so blessed to call Will my brother. Living with Will throughout my life has left so many fond memories. Now, seeing what God is doing through Will at Campus Outreach has been so amazing. I could not be happier for Will and Nicole as they embark on one of the hardest but most beautiful journeys that God has ordained: marriage.

Erin Adkins

Bridesmaid

Hello everyone! My name is Erin and I am the proud oldest sister of the bride-to-be, and I am so happy to a part of this wedding as a bridesmaid. Nicole and I both share interests in the science field and have the same want of caring for others; her for people, and mine for animals. I am currently a zookeeper all the way out in El Paso, TX, where I take care of many different animals, from fish to apes and birds to tigers, so I can fulfill my purpose of connecting people to the natural world. On my down time though, I love reading, playing video games, and going out to trivia nights with my friends. As an older sister I can only feel joy seeing my sister find someone who makes her so happy as Will does, so Jan. 1st, 2022 couldn't come fast enough!

Reese Anderson

Groomsman

Will and I have known each other since 2016, my freshman year of college, Will’s senior year. I don’t remember how exactly we met, but I’m sure it involved Wright food court, basketball, or Buffalouie’s boneless wings. Our friendship ebbed and flowed and eventually blossomed in 2019. At times, I saw Will more than my fiancée… My now wife didn’t mind because Will is such a wonderful influence, mentor, buddy, compadre, and otherwise good man. His humor is refreshing. His faith is encouraging. And his zeal to do good and share his life with others is admirable. So happy for Will and Nicole, and so thankful he found a woman as smart, wise, kind, and faithful as him.

Courtney Carmichael

Bridesmaid

Hello! I’m Courtney. I’m a wife, a teacher, a baker, a cat mom to two precious fur babies, and a big sister to the bride! Growing up, my older sister Erin and I were very close, and Nicole was just the baby of the family. But thankfully, as we got older, Nicole and I became very close, and today she is one of my very best friends! I have loved watching Will and Nicole’s relationship blossom and I can still remember how her face lit up when she first told me that she loved him. Will is so loving and gentle and definitely cherishes Nicole for the gift that she is. I know God made them for each other and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them!

Charlie Peters

Groomsman

Will and I met our Freshman year at IU through our mutual friend, Kyle Leffel. There, we both began exploring the Christian faith together and eventually joined a weekly discipleship group with a few other guys. Will, this group of guys, and I spent our four years growing together and building strong relationships with one another. As the group graduated and everyone moved to different parts of the country, we have stuck together for some of our most important life moments. Will stood alongside me during my wedding day, and now I will do the same for Will.

Emma Crooks

Bridesmaid

I’m Will’s younger sister, Emma; and I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know and adore Nicole over the past year! I recently graduated from Virginia Tech where I played lacrosse and am now working in the Northern Virginia area as a management consultant. I am so excited to be gaining Nicole as a sister and friend! I feel blessed to be a part of this ceremony, and can’t wait to celebrate the love Nicole and Will have for one another!

Obi Nwosu

Groomsman

Will has made the regrettable mistake of not asking me to speak at his wedding. Thus, I must leave my mark, as all great entertainers do, in this forum. I guess his big day will have to be about him after all. I met Will at IU. He was friends with one of my friends, so at first, naturally, I hated him. He stole the attention of one of my friends. But his love for The Office, FIFA, and God won me over. I haven't spent extended time with Will in a while, but his character still lives richly in my mind. Always humble. Slow to speak (except to quote Lord of the Rings). Never assuming. Never proud. Always serving. Nicole, I hardly know you but I can tell you this about Will: as a sales executive, as a leader, as a man, and as a friend, he is of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme.

Hannah Scott

Bridesmaid

Hi I’m Hannah! I am a BCBA in a small clinic for kids with Autism. I spend my free time meeting up with family and friends, learning about Jesus, running all over Indy, and eating food. You can probably always find me with coffee in hand. I have known Nicole since we were both small and she became like a sister to me pretty quickly, always showing up at my family gatherings and such. Fun fact- we used to get mistaken as twins! I met Will through Nicole; I have no doubt in the world that he was made for her! I am beyond excited to see how they shape each other in the years to come.

Adam Burnam

Groomsman

I met Will my freshman year at a Campus Outreach event. I chose to sit by him because he had a Beta-Zeta quarter zip and long flowy hair. Little did I know that the quarter zip was one of his only articles of Beta clothing and the hair would soon be cut! Will and I hit it off and eventually I joined a discipleship group through CO with him and some other guys. Will encouraged me to rush Beta, and I am proud to say I am a part of the 1% of guys Will brought to Beta rush who actually got in. Once I got into the fraternity, I got to witness Will’s rock solid character, conviction, and huge heart for the gospel. We quickly became like brothers and spent the next three years as dear friends. Nicole, I haven’t met you yet but I cannot wait to get to know you! This wedding is going to be amazing!

Alexis McVey

Bridesmaid

Hey y’all, I’m Alexis! I am a nurse at Eskenazi Hospital in Indy! I love being outside, hanging out with friends, traveling, & trying new things! I am currently dating my boyfriend, Blaise, who is a youth ministry pastor in Auburn, Indiana! We’ve been dating for almost a year now & it’s been such a blessing! Jesus has been so good to me through my friendship with Nicole & Will. I’ve known Nicole since elementary, and we’ve become the best of friends even through long distance and real hardships. She is the most gracious, kind, courageous, strong, & warrior woman of God. Will & Nicole pair so well together in their love for missions, love for jokes, & love for each other. What an honor it’s been walking with her for years now & now to see her walk down the aisle to the love of her life!

Jake Ehrlich

Groomsman

I had the great opportunity to meet Mr. Edwin William Crooks IV in college through a Christian leadership project.

Maddy Griggs

Bridesmaid

I’m Maddy and I met both Will and Nicole through Campus Outreach. I went to IU and met Will my freshman year, and then had Nicole in my room my second summer in Orlando at the Orlando Project. Both have been such encouragements in my life and I cannot wait to see how the Lord will use their marriage for His glory!

Colton Allen

Groomsman

I first met Crooks when he was in college. We first hung out when he visited the gloriously unparalleled campus at the University of Southern Indiana, and spent more time together in Orlando on summer projects with Campus Outreach. Will won me over to a renewed love for baseball and becoming a Nationals fan for life. Now that I live in Orlando with my amazing wife Madeline, most of Will and my time connecting is through FaceTime, which always involve Office quotes seamlessly or not so seamlessly used throughout the conversation. Even though years and miles have found us apart we still enjoy a friendship built on our faith and love for each other.

Kate Tucker

Bridesmaid

I'm Kate! I'm married to Jeremy (we had a COVID wedding in 2020) and we live in Indy with our two pups. I am a writer and editor and am also working on a master of social work at IUPUI. I love Jesus, my family, my church family, and working with kids and teens. I met Nicole through our church. We started studying together on Fridays when our classes switched to remote learning during the pandemic. We quickly went from study buddies to sharing both the hard and happy things in each other's lives. I'm so thankful for the sweet, loyal, honest and fun friend Nicole is. She is unafraid of sharing sorrows and she delights in sharing joys. She is a total gift to me, and it's been so sweet to get to know Will through her and see how much he values the treasure she is!
