Garden of the Gods
One of the most scenic spots in the area, with striking vertical red sandstone formations, about 5 miles from The Mining Exchange hotel. Great for drives, some light hiking or picnics, also has a visitor and nature center suitable for all ages.
Pikes Peak
The nearest "14er" with access either through a fun drive up (and down!) the mountain, or with a historic cog railway. It takes a couple of hours by any method to make the trip. Bring a coat if you go to the top. For those feeling athletic, Barr Camp Trail is a well-known hike starting in Manitou!

Offering eclectic global food with historic ambiance, this is a local favorite.
Cerberus Brewing Company
Upscale pub with outdoor space and weekend brunch. Serving their own craft beers, as well as wine and spirits with a seasonal cocktail menu.

This restaurant qualifies as a Colorado Springs institution; it's where K.T. bought her first drink.

Great breakfast spot, some of the best green chili around. Open until 2pm.

Perfect spot for authentic street tacos.

A little luxury from the spa located in the Mining Exchange Hotel.
America the Beautiful Park
A city park featuring a playground, walking paths, and sculptures.
U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
Colorado Springs is home to the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. This newer museum features interactive exhibits, neat architecture, and is adjacent to America the Beautiful Park.
Fine Arts Center Museum
A museum now affiliated with Colorado College, with galleries and sculpture collection.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
This zoo has one of the most successful giraffe breeding programs, and is built into a hill with great views of the town. May require tickets purchased in advance depending on season and expected crowds. USA Today named it #2 for best zoos in the country for 2025 and 2026!
