Vamos al paraíso! Join us in celebrating the end of our bachelor and bachelorette careers with a truly wonderful experience together in beautiful Costa Rica! Each of you has played a major part in our lives--raising us, tolerating us, and befriending us, as we grew into the people we are today. We cannot thank you enough. We want our wedding to be a moment to enjoy all of life's blessings. What better way than to set aside our commitments for a few days as we celebrate together at an all-inclusive villa. We understand taking time away from family and work along with financing a trip like this can be a burden. We do not wish to put any of you in an uncomfortable position and totally understand how other responsibilities can take precedent. Our hope is with enough time to plan, we can all enjoy this together. Please know we love you whether you are able to celebrate with us in person or in spirit. Seven years ago we met at a former newspaper headquarters -- okay okay we met at a bar. But once upon a Raleigh Times, two young kids fresh out of undergrad had a meet-cute moment. Exchanging pleasantries and an early parental introduction, they both knew right away something was different. A perhaps misplaced identity as Tobey Maguire led to a courageous albeit risky immediate Facebook friend invite and follow up message hoping young Natalie found her way home safe, from her "friendly neighboorhood Spiderman". A courtship ensued. Piano bar singing and raw fish eating led to an immediate attraction and friendship. Their burgeoning love story would be tested early with the loss of loved ones, stints in graduate school, and career transitions. But these two lobster claws stuck together. They pushed each other to grow, laugh, and enjoy their blessings. This was just the beginning of their love story.

Secrets secrets...are no fun. Secrets secrets...are impossible to keep from Natalie. Our proposal story starts with a federal crime for opening mail addressed to someone else. Yes, the cat was out of the bag. Natalie opened Will's mail and knew an engagement was imminent. So what could Will do now that the element of surprise had been skirted? Thanks to his boyish charm and endless years of listening to limericks on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, he devised a series of 31 clues -- one for each day of the month leading up to the revered prize, the illustrious engagement ring. The clues started simply enough, with hiding places around the apartment. Next, they led to spots around town frequented by the young couple. Even making their way to Natalie's home, involving each member of her family. With every clue harder than the last, Natalie found herself following these clues all the way to Las Vegas and eventually the Grand Canyon. Lady luck would shine on her as she found her final clue, positioned at the edge of the cliff at sunset. With a surprise photographer in tow, Will took a knee, shed a few tears, and asked for her hand. Nearly six years to the day, with Natalie gazing awestruck at one of the wonders of the world, and Will gazing awestruck at Natalie, these two committed to a life together, full of adventure and surprise.
