Hotel

Hotels in Downtown Cleveland

Our ceremony is at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. We do recommend staying in Cleveland the night before and after the wedding, depending on your availability. We have a room block at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in downtown Cleveland for both Friday and Saturday nights. It's a Marriott hotel. The rate is $199 per room. To reserve at that rate, call the hotel and ask for the Widner/Bamforth wedding block, or use https://tinyurl.com/widwedding. Our venue is in the Flats. There is no pressure to use our hotel block - there are many hotels in Downtown Cleveland, including ALoft Downtown and Hilton Cleveland Downtown. If you don't know Cleveland well and need a recommendation for a hotel in that area, please let Rob or Emily know. There are also hotels outside of the downtown Cleveland area, but please keep transit in mind. We can also help there if you find a random hotel on Expedia and want to know our thoughts. AirBnB are also pretty prevalent in Cleveland. For ease, we recommend locations in Tremont, Ohio City, Gordon Square or near W. 25. Again, please let us know if you have any questions about the area!

Flight

Flying into Cleveland

Cleveland's airport is Cleveland-Hopkins. It does not have a ton of direct flights, often connecting through New York, Atlanta, Toronto or Chicago. The Cleveland airport is about 20 minutes outside of Downtown Cleveland and about 15 minutes from Lakewood. Options for transport include hotel shuttles (if available), RTA (rail system), Uber or Rob-Emily pickup. For those who are interested in a road trip or a stop on the way: New York: 7 hour, 38 minute direct drive Potential stops along the way include Pittsburgh (adds a half hour), Niagara Falls/Finger Lakes/ Buffalo (adds 2 hours). Toronto: 5 hours. Includes Buffalo, Niagara Falls. Chicago: 5.5 hours (stops along the way aren't great) Detroit: 3 hours Includes Ann Arbor

Train

RTA

If you plan to use RTA, we recommend using the Transit app to plan your trip ahead of time. It will include information on buses and rail.

Travel Note

Uber/Lyft/Taxi

Because our wedding is in the morning, we recommend booking a Lyft, Uber, taxi or other rideshare service ahead of time to ensure availability.
