This is a brunch wedding, so our ceremony is at 11 a.m. (don’t worry, there’s coffee.) We recommend planning to get to the venue at 10:40 a.m., so everyone can get seated and everything can go off without a hitch. If you’re a member of the immediate family, please stay seated after the ceremony so we can make sure to get a picture with you. We promise to keep you for only a short time. The party is set to wind down around 4:30 p.m.
While we love your little ones, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding. We hope this will be an opportunity for adults to have a fun day out.
You may not have a date listed on your save-the-date. This doesn't mean you won't have a plus-one. Formal invitations will follow with complete details and online RSVP will include dates. MGK is always welcome - and encouraged.
Our venue for both the ceremony and the reception is the Music Box Supper Club (1148 Main Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113) in downtown Cleveland’s Flats district. The venue is on the second floor, and an elevator is available. There will be signs. Parking is paid valet or gratis self-park around the venue. There is a self-park directly next to the venue. But (you say) I don’t want to drive! That’s great, and we encourage it. Our venue is tricky to get to by foot. We recommend carpooling, ride-share services like Uber or Lyft, and the nearest RTA Red Line (train) station is the Ohio City, W.25 Station.
We have a room block at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in downtown Cleveland for both Friday and Saturday nights. It's a Marriott hotel. The rate is $199 per room. To reserve at that rate, call the hotel and ask for the Widner/Bamforth wedding block, or use https://tinyurl.com/widwedding. The wedding is in downtown Cleveland, but depending on how far you want to drive/Uber we can also recommend hotels outside of the immediate downtown area.
That’s OK, we’ve all had that moment before a wedding. The weather: No pun intended, but it’s hot in Cleveland (average 81 F, 27 C). Our ceremony is outdoors and short, with the reception inside in air conditioning. Dress code: The closest category you can Google is “summer semi-formal” but feel free to wear what makes you feel fabulous without dying of heat stroke. Fun colors, floral prints, fancy hats and dancing shoes encouraged!
It’s brunch time! We are working with the venue to appropriately label our vegetarian and vegan options. Celiac Disease: As the bride has Celiac Disease (she’s probably already told you), we are collaborating with the venue on an entirely gluten free brunch and reviewing their cross-contamination procedures. We also plan for the wedding cake and desserts to be entirely gluten free. Music Box is not an entirely gluten-free establishment, so there is always a small risk of cross-contamination. Health conditions: If you have any severe allergies, please let us know ahead of time. If you are worried about health risks, please feel free to bring your own snacks or meal and let us know beforehand — we are communicating with staff about this ahead of time to accommodate those with health conditions to ensure you’re comfortable. Non-alcoholic beverages: Along with juices and sodas, sparkling juice and non-alcoholic beer will be available at the bar. Please let us know if you have any questions about your options.
Yes. We're featuring a summer mimosa bar but will have a full selection available.
First of all, thank you very much for considering it! There will be a registry updated by the time invites go out and you can send/deliver them whatever way you wish.
