Will there be other events that weekend other than the wedding?
Answer
Tentatively, yes. As travel plans get sorted, we will coordinate accordingly and share updates. Due to the amount of planning and the costs involved to gather large groups, we highly recommend everyone plan their individual trips to meet their own needs and tourist wishes. Make the most of your trips, and we can't wait to host you at the Villa on Saturday for the big event!

Is there a dress code?

The weather may still be sticky hot or pleasantly cool. We recommend dressing up like a fashionable Italian to your comfort level. Weather pending, the ceremony and dinner will be held in the gardens of the Villa on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.

Do I need to know Italian?

Just about everyone in Florence will speak English, you just might have to speak more slowly. Tips for Cell Usage

Wifi can be found at most cafes around Florence. Most cell phone carriers have international day pass plans or are fairly cheap to use the occasional bit of data while roaming. We recommend keeping your phone on airplane mode if you're worried about it, or otherwise simply turning your data roaming off in your phone settings. For getting around town on your phone's map without service: you can download an area of Google Maps on your phone's memory (i.e. the city of Florence), so you can always have that handy after you've found a beautiful tiny alley to wander down.
