Shade and Callie's favorite retro entertainment shop. They mostly specialize in videogames, but they have some records and movies as well. It's also right next to Brookstown Camino, their most frequented coffee shop.

McKay's Winston-Salem

They have anything you can think of cameras, books, video games, vinyl, board games. Vintage or new, if you've been looking for it there's a good chance that McKay's has it.

Trade Street Northwest

Plenty of fun little shops and good restaurants on this street. There's also good food on 4th street which T's up at the south end of Trade.

Truist Stadium

Catch a Winston-Salem Dash minor league baseball game.

Hanes Park

A small park that's good for picnics.

Salem Lake Trail

BEWARE: The entire trip around the lake is 7 miles. The trail is gorgeous but, maybe plan to only do part of it before doubling back.

Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Beautiful gardens for sitting outside and enjoying the May Way you just bought. You can also tour the museum in the house.

Scales Fine Arts Center

The on campus fine arts center. They frequently do orchestral concerts and various theater productions.

Known for their doughnuts, but their coffee is also spectacular.

Lunch options vary per day, but always have spectacular pastries and a small selection of coffee options.

If you're in the mood for an upscale southern home-cooked meal, you cannot go wrong with Sweet Potatoes. Their fried chicken is to die for.

You got in late and want something quick and greasy? Check out Callie and Shade's go-to pizza night option. The garlic knots are non-negotiable.
