There are so many hiking options in the area! Some are permitted, so check before you go. Reach out for suggestions based on skill level and go with friends/family, or let Jackie lead you on an outing!
Tumalo Falls Trailhead & Viewpoint
Hike or drive to the falls! Don’t forget to walk up the path to be over the top of the falls. Usually pretty busy - go early or late.
Park & Float - Tumalo Creek Tube Rentals
Float the Deschutes River right through Bend.
Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort
Hike, mountain bike, or take the chair lift up.
Smith Rock State Park
A bucket list item for rock climbers! Also great for hiking. If you’re lucky you’ll see an eagle. Smith Rock is one of Oregon’s 7 wonders.
Bend Rock Gym
Super fun climbing gym! Top ropes, auto belays, lead climbing, and bouldering.
Les Schwab Amphitheater
This is where Jackie and Ian met. Well, let’s be honest...they’re both too cheap to buy tickets...they technically met on the lawn outside of the theater.

For all your boutique-y shopping needs, plus some traditional stores! Find REI in the original timber mill.
High Desert Museum
Super fun museum with living animals! Jackie and Ian both highly recommend if you have any interest in this kind of thing. They particularly enjoy the otters and porcupines.
