Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels
Schlitterbahn is a family-friendly water park located in New Braunfels, TX. If you are around before or after the wedding festivities, it's a great place to go cool off and have some fun. New Braunfels is the town we live in. We have season passes with a few visitor passes, so feel free to ask, and we can try to get you a discounted ticket.
Terry Black's Barbecue
You can't come to Texas and not get barbecue. Terry Black's is one of the best spots to go - and you'd better arrive hungry! Madisyn and Taylor love their brisket.
Mount Bonnell / Covert Park
Mount Bonnel is an easy walk for a beautiful view. Taylor and Madisyn have done a date night there to watch the sunset. There are 102 steps to go up. Totally doable, and a nice piece of nature in the city.
Comedy Mothership
Taylor and Madisyn love seeing a comedy show here as a date night. They have seen Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Tony Hinchcliffe. If you come early or stay after the wedding festivities, this could be a really fun idea to get tickets to!
South Congress
South Congress Avenue is a vibrant, iconic district in Austin, Texas, renowned for its eclectic mix of trendy boutiques, iconic eateries, live music venues, and bustling street culture. Running south from the Colorado River and the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge, it offers a distinct, walkable "Old Austin" vibe combined with modern upscale dining and retail.
Barton Springs
Barton Springs Pool is a recreational outdoor swimming pool in Austin, Texas, that is filled by natural springs connected to the Edwards Aquifer. Located in Zilker Park, the pool exists within the channel of Barton Creek and uses water from Main Barton Spring, the fourth-largest spring in Texas.
Mian & Bao
If you like Chinese noodles, you'll love this place. The soup dumplings are incredible. Madisyn and Taylor often come here for lunch after church.
