FAQ

A few pieces of info to hopefully add ease to planning your trip. If you have a question feel free to email, call, or text one of us. I'm sure if you're wondering, you are not alone! We will update the website with Q&A as they come in.
Question

Is there a chance the wedding will be canceled?

Answer

We already postponed once and we're not doing it again! As it stands, we will have been engaged for over two years and will have popped out a baby over a year ago. The show must go on and we hope Covid is a stressor of the past come September 2022.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

To make your trip comfortable be sure to plan for the elements! Regardless of what the weather apps say, bring a little of everything since Colorado mountain weather can turn on a dime. We recommend clothing for sunshine, rain, and potentially snow. Days should be pleasant but nights will be cold regardless (potentially in the 30s) of daytime temperatures. Comfort is key, feel free to wear your puffy coat to our wedding!

Question

What tips do you have for Crested Butte?

Answer

The first tip is to give yourself a day or two surrounding the wedding to explore and enjoy. Town is quaint, the mountains are beautiful, and hopefully we will be at the peak of leaf-turning season. The second tip is to STAY HYDRATED. There is nothing worse than altitude sickness or bad headaches. Please, please drink water, wear your sunscreen and stay hydrated so you can feel good.

Question

Will people be wearing masks?

Answer

We will not be wearing masks and will not require guests to wear masks. The wedding ceremony is in a garden with the reception in three-sided pavilion. Dining will be in the pavilion with dancing and mingling in the exposed outdoor gardens surrounding the pavilion. Please do whatever you are comfortable with.

Question

Are my kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids but we love you more. We want our wedding to be a night out where adults can be present, boogie hard, share long laughs, and be responsibility free. That said, if you have childcare at home, consider taking a parents' weekend away. If you want to experience Crested Butte with your whole family, please find a sitter for the wedding - or maybe consider a group sitter for you and your friends' kids. CB Babysitters is a great place to start. Kids are, however, invited to the welcome happy hour at Rainbow Park on September 23rd.

Question

I'm having trouble RSVPing

Answer

We promise that if you got an invite your name is on the list! That said, we think there's a glitch in the RSVP system so please contact us if your name is not being found.
