Messiah United Methodist Church - 6215 Rolling Road, West Springfield, VA 22152
3:45. The ceremony will begin at 4:00.
Semi-formal to cocktail. Think polished dresses or jumpsuits, dress shirts and pants, dressy separates, or suits. Avoid jeans or sneakers, but also skip the tux or gown. If you're somewhere between the two, you're probably fine, but if in doubt, there are plenty of guides online that can help you out.
The United Methodist Church forbids alcohol from being served on the premises, so this will be a dry wedding. We are investigating whether this policy includes zero-proof drinks or not, and hope to include some if allowed. We will definitely have a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, including mocktails and sparkling cider for the toast. While we personally have nothing against drinking in moderation, we do ask that you respect the United Methodist Church's policy and refrain from bringing any alcohol onto the church grounds. Thanks! For those who would like to grab a drink afterwards, there are several establishments nearby which do serve alcohol. One of our personal favorites is Ledo Pizza, which is in a shopping center just down the street. They have a full bar and a variety of beers available.
Yes! We'd love to have you bring them along. Just please keep an eye on them to make sure that they stay safe and don't get lost.
We plan to post a registry here on Zola as we get closer to the day of. Please do not feel obligated to give us anything, though; your presence is the best gift of all!
We have tried to offer plus ones to all guests in long-term relationships, but we may have overlooked a few. If you have a serious partner who you would like to bring, please reach out and let us know the situation and we will try and accommodate. Due to space limitations, we may have to say no, but we definitely want to have them there if possible!
Please do! Unless you're a vegetarian, that is, because the bride is a vegetarian, so there will be plenty of vegetarian food by default.
We're sorry to hear you won't be able to make it and will miss you, but, if you are in this situation, yes, please do let us know. This is helpful for logistics purposes. Oh, and you absolutely do NOT need to send us a gift, whether you're attending or not. Knowing you is gift enough.
