Jon and Morgan met while attending Colorado State University. Jon was hosting a house party at his house (affectionately dubbed the Fiesta House due to brightly colored walls), and Morgan attended with some friends. Jon decided to show off his motorcycle and invite Morgan to play some games. While Morgan wasn't necessarily into the motorcycle, she accepted his invitation to go on a date later that week. One date became quite a few, and next thing they knew, Jon and Morgan became best of friends. Jon decided to meet Morgan in Prague when she was studying abroad the summer before senior year, and they took their first vacation to Croatia together. After Morgan's senior year, they decided to move in together. After a few months, Jon and Morgan took the next big step and stopped by a pet store after brunch. Although it wasn't necessarily planned, they adopted their American Eskimo Callie. Jon, Morgan and Callie lived in various apartments around Denver before deciding to buy a condo in Cherry Creek. They now enjoy walking along Cherry Creek, finding the best new restaurants to try, and traveling to the mountains on the weekends. After enduring many curious comments from family and friends, Jon decided to propose to Morgan on March 20, 2021. She said yes! We can't wait to celebrate our love with our friends and family.

The proposal took place on a sunny, clear day on the top of Mary Jane mountain. Jon had woken Morgan up extremely early, as usual, to get a head start on the ski traffic for the day. Unfortunately, Morgan had a slow start to the morning and they sat in traffic for almost two hours. When they finally arrived at the mountain, they took a few runs before Jon suggested that they head up the Panoramic Lift, which goes to the top of the mountain. Morgan agreed, and they headed up the lift. Once at the top, Jon asked that they walked up another hill to an overlook that has vast views of the mountains. Morgan wasn't convinced, but followed Jon up the hill. Jon asked another skier on the overlook to take a picture of them (who turned out to be one of our best friends - shoutout to Kevin), and before Morgan knew it, Jon was on one knee. Surrounded by mountains and on top of the world, Morgan said yes. Jon pulled off a surprise proposal and Morgan couldn't have asked for more. When heading back down to Denver, Jon told Morgan that they had dinner plans but wouldn't tell her where. When Morgan walked inside their condo, she was surprised with their closest family and friends to celebrate the engagement. The perfect day is an understatement!
