Ryan and I met at Vanguard High School in 2008 as mere infants in this world and have been friends for the 15+ years since. Ryan introduced Ellie to me in 2020 at a bonfire at a beloved Gainesville house shortly after they started dating. I got the privilege to take a cross-country roadtrip with Ryan with the last stop for him being his new home with Ellie in SF. Ellie had done an amazing job creating a home for the two of them and the first night in town we ordered Taiwanese food and had a family dinner of sorts to celebrate the huge milestone. I am excited to see the adventures the two of them will embark on together. Ryan is a cautious guy but once he trusts you, is down to try anything. Ellie has that perfect spark of adventure and the combination is perfectly complementary.

Ellie and I met through Girl Scouts in 1st grade and have been friends ever since. Our friendship really blossomed in middle school when we started to have classes together and were both in band. I have MANY great memories of middle school sleepovers at Ellie’s house watching Saturday Night Live, discussing the triumphs and tragedies of teen life, listening to music (mainly The Killers and Red Hot Chili Peppers), playing Muse violin/piano duets, and visiting her in all of the new cities she has called home. While we have had a wonderful history I'm looking forward to Ryan not having to take Ellie to the ER as much as he has so that they can enjoy hiking and avocado toast together. I'm also looking forward to them growing and adapting together through the events of their life.
Best Man
Ryan and I met in the Spring of 2013 in UF’s “What is the Good Life?” when our mutual friend who sat between us didn’t show up one day. When I think back to our time together at UF, I can sum it up with trips to Dunkin Donuts, putzing around downtown (pre-Hot Girl Walk™ Era) to go to the Top or Boca Fiesta, and living together at the Pavilion where I played Sia a LOT to Ryan’s delight. The undercurrent to all of that is the light and joy Ryan brings everywhere he goes. Ryan is the type of friend I hope we all get to have in our lives. When Hurricane Michael hit my hometown while I was living in Boston, he immediately reached out and asked what supplies he could bring my Mom 6 hours away, which is why he is now her favorite son. When I moved abroad for a summer, he was planning our reunion in Germany so we could spend a week traveling and he is hands down my favorite travel buddy. I met Ellie when I visited Gainesville about 2 months into them dating and saw immediately how perfect they were for each other. Ellie’s sense of adventure, her energy, and the joy she brings everywhere made me feel like I’ve known her my whole life, and it has been such a privilege to see her and Ryan build a life together and share the love they have for one another with their friends and family.

I met Ryan approximately 18 months into my life and as we got older we definitely grew closer. Ryan introduced my husband and I to Ellie three weeks into them dating over dinner at the Top. When Ellie went to the bathroom I told him that if he screwed things up with her I would take her side over his. Needless to say he didn't and now she gets to be the sister I always wanted! For about 6 months when we all lived in Gainesville I'm fortunate that I got to know Ellie very well. She would come over to use our Peloton before work and we would embark on baking adventures. There was so much chaos in what was meant to be a controlled environment and it was usually end with us dancing to Megan Thee Stallion. I'm so happy that Ryan and Ellie found each other (even though now we definitely don't get to live as close as we used to). Selfishly, I'm excited to watch them be Aunt and Uncle to our son Ari who was born this past May.
Best Man
I met Ryan when he was a young 17 year old at one of the longstanding UF Homecoming traditions: Gator Growl. I had just started dating his sister Lara and was excited to meet her brother that she was so close to. Since then we have formed our own special bond and I have considered him a brother long before I married into the McGuire family. Ryan introduced me to Ellie early on into their relationship and I could tell from the beginning their partnership was special. It's been a bonus to become close to Ellie and we've now formed our own "Outlaw In-Law" pact. I've witnessed a lot of "firsts" for Ryan: first year of college, first drink, and first cross-country move. However, I'm extremely honored that I get a front row seat to watch Ryan & Ellie embark on their next adventure together - their lifelong commitment to one another.

I met Ellie in 4th grade through lacrosse (long live Purple Blazers). We were teammates and best friends throughout middle and high school. We may not be the most similar on paper, but our friendship has stood the test of time. One of my favorite memories was when I visited Ellie in Boston for her 24th birthday. I was going through a tough time in my life and it was such a breath of fresh air to be with my sweet friend who I didn’t get to see often. We got dressed up for her birthday dinner, went to a fancy brunch spot, shopped at some of the cutest stores, and just got to spend so much quality time together. There is something incredibly special about old friends and I will always cherish the memories I share with Ellie. The first time Ellie and Ryan met my son Jack was the moment I knew I loved Ryan. He was so gentle and kind and genuine around my tiny son, it warmed my new mama heart and made me excited for Ellie and Ryan’s future together. I’m looking forward to watching the two of you enjoy all the little things together. We have a sign in our house that says, “These are the good old days” as a reminder to be present in all the moments. Nothing is more special than taking it all on with the person you love by your side and your people cheering you both on. I’ll always be one of your biggest fans, I love that you’ve locked down you biggest fan forever in Ryan. I am here for y’all and praying for your marriage. I love you both with my whole heart!

Oddly enough, I knew Ellie before I became friends with Ryan. Ellie & I have lived parallel lives since high school which have taken us to Gainesville, Boston, and now San Francisco. My path first crossed with Ryan when we both worked at the gym together at UF Recsports. We bonded watching bros lift heavy circles and tailgating Gator football games together. Ryan and I have always enjoyed each other's company. Fast forward to 2020 and Ellie tells me she's dating someone from Recsports and I was THRILLED when she told me it was Ryan. When our jobs brought us both to the Bay Area I was excited to get to reconnect with Ryan and get to deepen our friendship out in SF. I always look forward to our bike rides conquering Hawk Hill and crushing Hook Fish burritos. I cherish our friendship and that the four of us can continue doing life together!

Ellie and I met in the Oviedo High School marching band in 2008. Ellie and I became friends as we spent more time together during band events and our friendship was solidified during after-school drum major lessons when it was finally time to hand over my baton to Ellie. Since then, Ellie has been like a little sister to me, hanging out on her parents’ couch any time we were both in Oviedo, and sharing our deep love for Taylor Swift and drinking wine. Ellie is the friend everyone needs in their life — smart, funny, and a little wild — to keep things interesting. I loved getting the occasional phone call from Ellie sharing her life updates and asking for advice (knowing she would NEVER follow my suggestions), only for her to admit I was right months later. It is a pattern we still laugh about to this day, but is also the reason I was a little nervous when she told me she had found “the one” mere months after starting to date Ryan. After visiting them in San Francisco (best trip ever, 10/10 would recommend!), I saw what an amazing partnership they have built together and thankfully the one piece of my advice Ellie has wisely listened to is “you need to keep Ryan forever.” Ryan is exactly the person I always hoped Ellie would find. He is calm and patient, he openly shares his thoughts and feelings, he admires her strength and intelligence, and he loves her for exactly who she is. I can’t wait to see them get married and begin the next beautiful journey of life together!

I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan while attending the University of Florida when we both started a course on becoming a personal trainer through the school's rec center. I was pretty shy then, but Ryan made me feel part of the group, was always fun to talk to, hang out with, and get a lift on with :) Due to that course, we've trained together, worked together, explored together, have been roommates, and now we’ve both moved to CA from FL. From the beginning, it was clear Ryan was a great person who had a real passion for helping others and was always the guy you wanted to have a beer / slice of pizza with. I was first introduced to Ellie after Ryan and Ellie made to move to California. As we Florida kids caught up at Radhaus in SF and talked about now living in CA, you could tell Ryan and Ellie had a special relationship and were bound for great things together! Since then, we've hiked together in the North Bay, they’ve introduced my wife and I to our favorite Latin food in the Bay and I’m looking forward to the more adventures that are on the way. I'm honored to be a groomsman for Ryan and so excited to see Ryan and Ellie tie the knot and be there to celebrate their wedding!

Ellie & I met at my 21st Birthday party after only knowing each other through the UF Engineering Ambassadors Facebook page. The first thing I said to her when I met her in the bathroom was "Wow I thought you would be much taller in person". From there we became roommates living together for 2 years while I was getting my MBA. Over the years we've shared baking adventures, exciting trips ranging from NFL London (DUVAL) to Iceland, and many FL/GA games. I'm looking to celebrating their wedding as much as Ellie and Ryan (mostly Ellie) celebrated ours!

While Ellie is technically a 2nd cousin, she has always been much closer to me than that and has meant so much to me. I grew up watching Ellie reach for the stars and achieve many great things. I always loved going to watch Oviedo High Football games to see her conduct the band, getting hand me downs like we were sisters, and now having been in each other's weddings! I am looking forward to seeing Ryan and Ellie continuing to build a life that they love together, while spreading their love, and creating their community.
Groomsman
Hello there! Ryan and I first met as our families were joined by the marriage of my mother, Jill Manell, to Elliot McGuire, the *slightly* less handsome twin of the McGuire clan. Atop of bonds built playing Tony Hawk videogames together, and discussing alternative rock bands at our Grandma Eustina’s, a lasting friendship within the family would persevere through annual trips to the Lazy Lanigans pub. It was my recent trip to San Francisco which provided the opportunity to enjoy the presence of Ellie and Ryan outside of the regular familial obligations. I was met by a duo of beyond accommodating host who did their all to allow me to fully relax thousands of miles away from home. Both helped me make the most of my time in California, with Ryan also proving himself a consummate wingman, earning my undying respect! Just as Lara and Brandon welcome a new member into our family, it is so exciting to welcome Ellie's family into our merry band of renegades! This makes me so excited, and privileged, to see what the next chapter in the McGuire-Weinbel family will look like.
