FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi Formal Attire: Mid to floor length dresses and jumpsuits, dark suits and ties, etc. We respectfully ask that no one wears white or jeans. Make sure your shoes are comfortable enough to dance in!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are planning to have the ceremony will be outdoors in The Presidio Chapel Garden. We will closely monitor the weather the week leading up to the wedding and will bring it inside if needed. The cocktail hour will be a combination of indoors and outdoors in the courtyard of The Golden Gate Club. There will be heat lamps available since it will be winter and San Francisco is always windy/chilly. The reception will be completely indoors at The Golden Gate Club.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive between 15-30 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so they can get settled before the proceedings. Guests that arrive late will not be permitted in until after the processional and will be seated in the back.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We will not be organizing transportation to/from our venue. Uber and Lyft are quick and easy in the city. If you are renting a car or driving, there is on-site parking at the Golden Gate Club.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your Save The Date or Invitation was addressed to your "Family", your children are welcome to attend. Otherwise, please leave the kiddos at home. We will have a separate room available in the reception space if you need some space with your little ones.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you have been given a plus one it will be indicated on your RSVP. If you were not given a plus one, please just bring yourself!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There WILL be an open bar for the duration of our Cocktail Hour (makes sense given the name) and the first 3 hours of our reception. During the last hour, the bar will become a cash bar. If you choose to drink we STRONGLY encourage you to schedule an Uber/Lyft to your hotel or coordinate a designated driver for your transportation home.

Question

Do I need to rent a car in San Francisco?

Answer

The short answer = Probably not. The city is very walkable with public transit and ride sharing available throughout, including to and from the airport. If you are only here for a couple of days and not leaving the city, you should be fine. If you plan on staying longer or want to explore other parts of the Bay Area, a car may be worthwhile. Reach out to Ryan with any questions.
