Stylist/Wardrobe
Crystal helped me say yes to the dress—and she'll likely be the one lacing me into it. She’s our designated stylist, but also one of my nearest and dearest. Picture a blend of maternal warmth and the graceful, unpredictable charm of a cat (with just a hint of feral raccoon mischief). That’s Crystal in a nutshell—witty, sarcastic, and delightfully odd, yet always there with a comforting presence, wise words, and a perfectly timed - if slightly off-color - joke. Whether she's playing with my hair or checking in to make sure I’m holding it together, she's always there.
Schedule Coordinator
Jenny has been our constant—our compass. She’s joined us on every National Park adventure, keeping us on track (and mostly alive) with her unmatched organization, kindness, and fully stocked backpack. She’s the reason we’ve survived every trip - keeping Mitchell on the approved paths, gently encouraging me on every arduous hike, and always having sunscreen. She’s the ultimate mom friend. She’s got wipes when nature calls (literally - Redwoods National Park), snacks when spirits are low, and a gentle presence that somehow holds everyone together without ever asking for credit. Her steadiness has been a gift to both of us—and this day, like so many others, is better because she’s part of it.
Quiet Anchor
Brianna is the kind of friend whose presence doesn’t need fanfare—it just is. Her love is steady, her loyalty unwavering, and her magic is in the quiet way she shows up, supports, and stays. She may not always be the loudest voice in the room, but she’s one of the truest. In a world that can feel overwhelming, Brianna is calm, comfort, and kindness in its purest form. We’re so grateful for her heart, her steadiness, and the way she holds space for others just by being herself.
Life Coach
Christy was the very first person I texted after my first date with Mitchell—and the one amping me up beforehand, making sure I had the right mindset and the right music. Which is only fair, as she's stayed curating the soundtracks of my life with her impeccable taste. But she does more than manage the vibes—Christy keeps me grounded. She reminds me I’m awkward in the most loving, hilarious ways—and always helps me laugh at myself before the world can. She’s sarcastic, brilliant, and hilarious in the way only someone who knows you completely can be. She’s seen all my awkwardness, named it out loud, and somehow made it endearing. Through every chapter, she’s helped me stay true to myself—with laughter, intelligence, and a friendship I treasure more than she’ll probably let me say out loud.
Emotional First Responder
Bianka is more than a friend—she’s someone whose life has been interwoven with mine in the most sacred ways. We’ve walked through the deepest valleys and stood at the highest peaks together, and there’s no part of my story where her name doesn’t echo. She understands the unique experience of grief—the kind that changes you forever—and because of that, she’s held space for me in a way no one else could. She’s sat with me in silence, offered the right words when there were any, and just been there when that was all I needed. She sees me in a way I’ve never felt seen before—with clarity, compassion, and no pretense. Her insight is sharp, her love is fierce, and her presence is grounding in every season. Bianka is one of the most treasured souls in my life.
The One Standing With Us
On our special day, we’ve asked our dear friend Savannah to officiate our ceremony. Savannah and I have been friends since we were nine or ten—growing up together, growing into ourselves, and being there for each other through each chapter of life. She’s been a constant in my life, and now in ours—someone who has shown up with humor, grace, and fierce loyalty in even the hardest moments. She’s picked me up from hospitals, sat with me in grief, and helped carry the weight of it when I couldn’t. She’s helped me keep grief at bay with kindness and light, and she’s always made space for joy—even when things felt heavy. Mitchell adores her, too. He thinks she’s magnetic and hilarious—and the two of them share some sort of wordless, telepathic connection we’ll never understand. Savannah knows our love story—she’s seen the tears, the laughter, the moments in between. Having her pronounce us as husband and wife feels sacred, right, and exactly how we want to begin this chapter. We’re endlessly grateful for her love, her presence, and for saying yes to being the one standing with us.
The Other Halves
In loving our friends, we’ve also come to love the people who stand beside them. To the spouses and partners of our closest people: thank you. Thank you for sharing your time, your homes, your patience, and your grace. For the late-night texts passed along, the “just checking in” updates, and the quiet understanding when we’ve needed to borrow your person for a little while longer. Thank you for being steady, for showing up with kindness, and for loving our friends so well. In doing so, you’ve loved us too. You’re part of this story in a thousand quiet ways—and we’re so grateful to have you in our lives.
