We’ve always done life a little differently. Late-night calls. Long-distance drives. Inside jokes no one else would understand. We’ve built our life not around grand gestures, but around tiny ones—naps on the couch, quoting Twister for the thousandth time, singing made up songs to each other, etc. And now, we’re getting married. Because of Mitchell’s advanced illness, we’re keeping the ceremony small—quiet, intentional, and filled with the people who know our hearts. We wish we could gather everyone we love, but our celebration will be simple and close to home.
