Another site we love thats just around the corner from the Hotel and venue. The Art Institute of Chicago is a private, nonprofit art museum in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, United States. Founded in 1879, it is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. Our favorite exhibit is the Thorne Miniature rooms downstairs! Go check it out.
Buckingham Memorial FountainBuckingham Memorial Fountain
One of the largest fountains in the world AND it's beautiful day or night. The walk is just a bit farther past the art institute, but you can enjoy a city bus ride down there from Michigan avenue. We find this place truly relaxing in the mornings when there are no crowds.

A Fun fact about this museum, We had our first "Prom" together here during George's first year at law school. It was Michelle's first prom! The inside is beautiful an full of fun science history.

Another fun fact, my dad says the best view of Chicago's Skyline is right off the steps/parking next to this building. If you don't make it inside, definitely make it over to the outside at night to get a beautiful glowing view of Chi City's shiplike skyline
