In the summer of 2011, we locked eyes from across the room at a gathering of eccentrics. Destiny sparked itself when Michelle approached, silently, and ran her fingers through George's hair. A whirlwind of dates inevitably followed during the next two years. Sadly, we parted ways in 2013 as Michelle began her graduate studies and George had completed his. Michelle explored the world and found herself living in different cities, learning new cultures, deepening her connection to nature, becoming a therapist, artist, a yoga instructor, and adopting 2 kitties. Meanwhile, George established his career as an attorney in their shared hometown of Chicago. More than a decade passed. So much about the world and ourselves had changed. The romance of our youth began to seem like an embellished memory, but fate had not forgotten us. We kept finding our way back to each other. Any time Michelle returned to Chicago, George would conjure up a reason to meet her. Unknown to our friends, we continued to confide in one another closely. The loyalty between us remained, and so did our love. In May 2025, Michelle invited George on his first vacation since becoming a lawyer. He came to Michelle's city of residence (Miami) and declared her his girlfriend on her birthday. By the 4th of July, George had enchanted Michelle right back to Chicago. Almost a year after their rekindling, Michelle planned their first couple's vacation, filled with breathtaking nature adventures. But little did she know that George had secretly planned a most romantic surprise proposal and elopement. He pulled her to the side of a cliff—a private haven on the Emerald Pools Trail in Zion National Park— and expressed how his love for her had stayed the same since they locked eyes at that party 15 years ago. George then exclaimed that he refused to spend even one more day without her as his wife. On April 12, 2025, Michelle married George at the Bliss Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. We finally found our Bliss. And now we invite you to share some of it with us.
