Question

Will transportation be provided? Will transportation be provided?

Due to the short distance between the hotel block at Palmer House and the Chicago Cultural center, transportation will not be provided. It's a very short under 10 minute walk or a quick 2 minute rideshare away for those who need mobility assistance.

Question

Do I need a car?Do I need a car?

Answer

We don't recommend renting a car unless you are planning to venture out of the city. Parking downtown can be prohibitive, and public transportation is easy to navigate. Rideshares are reasonable and easy to get; we recommend checking prices on both Uber and Lyft as rates can change quickly and one may have a better deal. If you're a Hilton Honors member, don't forget to link that with Lyft for points!

Question

Where do I park?Where do I park?

Answer

VALET Parking is available at the Palmer House and Renaissance Hotel (please see "travel" tab). If you are not staying at the hotels, PAID PARKING is available in Millenium Park's garage across the street. The Millenium Park Garage will be cheaper. Here is the website for your convenience. You can book parking in advance: https://www.millenniumgarages.com/
