We hope it will be warm during the day and cool at night. Historically, it has been 80 degrees during the day and 50 degrees at night. June Lakes has an elevation of 7,654 feet (8,695 feet at the wedding), which means anything goes. Please be prepared for the possibility of hot sun, rain showers, snow, hail, wind and wildfire smoke.
Due the the minimal fencing around the venue, children are not invited to the ceremony and reception. We don't want them to fall off the side of the mountain! They are welcome to attend any other wedding events!
If we have forgotten anyone, please let us know at ohbilly9@gmail.com or shoot out a text.
Yep! Part of the fun is riding a two person lift from the base of the mountain up to the mid-mountain chalet and back down after the wedding. If you are unable to physically ride the lift, transportation will be provided to and from the chalet. When you are choosing beverages at the reception, remember that you have to ride the lift down.
As you can imagine, it takes a bit to get everyone up the mountain. Even though the ceremony is at 4:30 pm, we would like guests to start arriving at 3:15 pm. There will be drinks and lawn games waiting for you at the top.
The ski lift stops after Sandy rides it up. If you are late, then you have missed the wedding. Try not to be late.
A few things to note. Alcohol hits you much quicker. Keep this in mind when enjoying festivities. Drink water often as dehydration occurs quicker. If you have any health conditions and are concerned, please contact your doctor. Some people have used altitude sickness pills with success. Remember-you have to ride the ski lift down at the end!
Absolutely not! While we hope you will dance the night away with us, the ski lift will offer downloads starting after dinner. Please utilize the shuttle!
Yes! We will be providing a shuttle from places of lodging around June Lakes Loop to the mountain. If you drive to the mountain, it is ok to park overnight and utilize the shuttle. Please do not drink and drive.
