We have reserved a block of rooms with the Cambria Hotel, which is walking distance from both the ceremony site at the Canoe Club and the reception at the Lodge. Please book ASAP, as there are other events in town that weekend and hotel rooms are filling quickly! The hotel is pet-friendly :)

We have another block of rooms that’s opened up! High Peaks Resort is BEAUTIFUL. It’s right on the downtown Lake Placid strip and is walking distance to the Canoe Club (although there is a steep hill!).
Travel Note
From NYC area: Take I-87 N up from the city. Take Exit 30 to US-9 toward Keene Valley. Follow signs for NY-73 straight to downtown Lake Placid. From Buffalo: Take I-90 E toward Albany. Take Exit 36 to I-81. Take Exit 48A toward I-781, then take exit 4 for US 11 S. Take the ramp to State Rte 26 S. Turn left onto State Rte 3 E and follow Rte 3 to downtown Lake Placid. ** PLEASE DOWNLOAD AN OFFLINE MAP OF THE AREA TO YOUR PHONE. Cell service is spotty at best outside of downtown Lake Placid. Do not close out of your directions mid-trip, as your phone might not be able to locate where you are.

From Albany International Airport: Approx. 2 hrs 15 min driving. From Montreal International Airport: Approx. 2 hrs 15 min driving (not including time at customs). From Burlington International Airport: Approx. 2 hrs 30 min driving. From Adirondack Regional Airport (SLK): Approx. 26 minutes driving. Train
Amtrak: The Adirondack Amtrak line runs once per day. It is a 5.5 hr trip, not including a 1-1.5 hour layover in Albany. To book, select the "Westport" arrival station. You will have to arrange for a taxi or someone to pick you up from the station to get to downtown Lake Placid. www.amtrak.com Trailways: Trailways operates a once per day route from New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal to Lake Placid. The trip takes 7 hrs and you will have to transfer at the Albany bus station.
