Take advantage of Snowshoe's awesome mountain biking! Snowshoe in years past has hosted the UCI world cup for downhill mountain biking so their bike park is top tier. Its not all for world class athletes though, they sometimes offer Mountain Biking 101 classes to get you started! We took this class and that's where Kevin got hooked. (We recommend doing this the day AFTER the wedding please).
Visit the lake for paddleboarding, kayaking, disc-golfing, hiking, or just beach chilling!
Indoor/outdoor heated swimming area with slides and a hot tub.
Tuque's is a classic ski bar; we always make sure to stop by for their poutine fries! Our after party will be here.
Foxfire is our go-to dinner place on the mountain. They have good hearty meals along with simpler sandwiches and delicious cocktails.
Check out all the shops in the village. Since the wedding will be over Labor day weekend, the village will be the most alive and active! You can count on live music, dancing, bike races, and many more events to see and join in on.
Climb aboard a steam-powered train to get spectacular views in Cass.
Thanks to Snowshoe's high elevation (Utah people, hush!), the vegetation is worlds away from what we find back home in Maryland. The woods around the top of the mountain are enchanting. Which is why the enchanted forest trail is one of our favorite hikes. We also find ourselves hiking out to the old fire tower each summer as well. Brave the climb to get a 360-degree view of the mountain state.
