Please download the directions to your phone prior to leaving. There are a few spots on the route where internet will not be available, and your GPS may have issues. The address is on our travel page!
We have a group booking at Corduroy Inn & Lodge where our wedding events will take place, but we also recommend Rimfire or Alleghany Springs in the village. Both are about a 10-minute walk away via a walking path to our venue. See our travel page for more information.
Your lodging complex will have associated parking. Once you are parked, you shouldn't need to drive again if you don't want to. There are shuttle stops located around the mountain with shuttles that will take you where you need to go and our venue will have a dedicated shuttle at the end of the night to take you back home.
The Gateway Restaurant is located approximately an hour away from Snowshoe and offers simple classic diner options with a variety of amazing pies. We also recommend stopping at Yokum's Vacationland for some local homemade fudge and jams!
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail or formal. We would like to celebrate with everyone in style. We suggest guests wear a suit and tie, long or midi dresses or a formal cocktail dress. Any color is welcome! The bridal party will be in burgundy and dark greens. The ceremony will take place on a mostly flat deck and the reception will be inside so heels should be safe!
Snowshoe is in the mountains and tends to be cooler than it is at home. Usual temps in September are a high of 64 and a low of 49. Bring a sweatshirt!
The ceremony will be outside on a flat deck and the reception will be inside.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult-only event so everyone can relax and enjoy the weekend.
The RSVP deadline is August 15 but we would appreciate early RSVPs :). You can RSVP through our website here or by emailing us at ksc090626@gmail.com
The ceremony will take place outside on a flat deck on ground level and there is an elevator to the reception area.
Snowshoe operates a free shuttle from most locations. We will have more information regarding the shuttle schedule once it gets posted for this summer!
Please note that check-in for the Corduroy Inn and most of the other lodgings on the mountain will be at 4pm or 5pm. We recommend arriving Saturday so you can get ready on the mountain. If you are driving up on Sunday, please come ready to party as ceremony will start at 4pm and early check-in cannot be guaranteed.
Yes! We recommend visiting the "Things to do" page of our website where we've compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area.
