Welcome Party Parking & Shuttle Transportation

Our Welcome Party will be held at The Rockwood Lodge, which is nestled at the top of a beautiful mountain 20 minutes outside of downtown Highlands. Due to limited parking and narrow mountain roads, guest vehicles will not be permitted at the Lodge. Shuttle service will be provided from designated pickup locations off Main Street, behind the Park on Main Hotel and at the Trailborn Highlands hotel. Shuttle departure times for both locations will be shared in June.

Wedding Day Parking & Shuttle Transportation

Airports & Car Services
For those flying in, your best airport options are: Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) — ~1 hr 15 min from Highlands Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP) — ~2 hrs from Highlands Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) — ~2.5 hrs from Highlands There’s no Uber or reliable rideshare in the Highlands area. You'll want to rent a car or pre-book a private shuttle for to and from airport transportation. Some great car service options include: 1. Mountain Motor Coach 2. Atlanta One Limo 3. Big Mountain Shuttles 4. Eastside Transportation If you choose to rent a car in Asheville, we would recommend that you have someone in your party make their way to pickup the rental quickly after you land. On a few occasions, we’ve had to wait 30-45 minutes for our pre-booked rental.

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Trailborn Highlands, conveniently located near Main Street and the wedding venue. UPDATE: The room block is now full. However, a few rooms are still available on the hotel’s website outside of the block for anyone interested.

There are plenty of Airbnb homes in the Highlands area! If you decide to book one, please keep in mind that you will definitely need a car to drive to the assigned event parking lot (location TBA).
