It started in 2011, over a Skype call. Morgan was chatting with her sister Jada, a student at FSU. Ian, who happened to live next door, popped into the frame to strike up a conversation. Morgan hung up, naturally, but something stuck. Fast forward to 2016. Morgan had just graduated and moved to New York for an internship. One weekend, she went out with Jada and a group of her FSU alum friends—including Ian, who was visiting for job interviews. They talked all night, but didn’t exchange numbers. Just as Ian was moving to NYC, Morgans internship was ending and she was heading back to Florida. Then came 2017. Ian got Morgan’s number from Jada and asked her to a wedding in Jacksonville. What he didn’t mention right away: he was in the wedding party… and his entire family would be there. Morgan met them all within minutes of arriving to his fathers house—and somehow, it felt natural. From that weekend on, they were inseparable, even long distance. They synced up movies over the phone every night and visited as often as possible (even when in Ian fashion, numerous flights were missed). By 2018, Morgan moved back to NYC, and in 2021 they moved in together—after surviving an extended COVID stay at Ian’s family home in North Carolina. Since then, they’ve built a life filled with laughter, travel, and time with their sweet dog Louie. And while they’ve seen the world, their favorite place is the mountains of North Carolina—a second home full of family, friends, and some of their most cherished memories. Now, they can’t wait to share it with you. Thank you for being part of their story—and this next chapter.
