Travel Note

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Given the rural nature of Southern Vermont, traveling can be a challenge, so we highly recommend renting a car if you do not plan to drive in so you can get around the area. There will be a shuttle service from the room blocks listed below to take you to and from the wedding venue, but there is no ride share in the area, so please plan accordingly.

Flight

Albany Airport

This is the largest airport in the region and most likely the best option for those flying in. It is 1.5 hours from the venue at Magic Mountain in Londonderry and 1 hour and 15 minutes to Manchester, where a majority of guests will be staying and the shuttles will be departing.

Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport

This is the closest airport to the venue, but it is a small regional airport with limited flights. It is 35 minutes from Londonderry and 40 minutes from Manchester.

Bradley International Airport

This is a larger airport located in Hartford County, Connecticut. It is roughly 2 hours from Londonderry and 2.5 hours from Manchester. We would recommend flying into Albany if you can.

Train

Amtrak Vermonter

Take the Vermonter from one of the many daily stops between Washington, D.C. and Brattleboro, Vermont. The train also stops in Philadelphia and New York City and makes stops in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Please note that the trip from Washington, D.C. to Brattleboro takes roughly 9.5 hours while the trip from New York City is about 5 hours. Brattleboro is about an hour from Manchester and 50 minutes from Londonderry. You will still need to rent a car in Brattleboro.

This is the most affordable option and right at the base of the mountain. Please note that it is about 10 minutes from the town of Londonderry and 25 minutes from Manchester, where the welcome drinks are located. If you stay here please plan accordingly! Mention the Walsh/Golden wedding block
