Flight
For guests flying in, Denver International Airport (DEN) will be the easiest and most convenient option, located about 25–30 minutes from downtown Denver depending on traffic. Some guests may also find flight options into Colorado Springs Airport (COS), which is a smaller airport about 1.5 hours south of Denver. While it can occasionally be easier or less expensive depending on where you’re traveling from, renting a car would be highly recommended if flying into Colorado Springs. Traffic to and from either airport can vary depending on timing, so we recommend building in a little extra buffer when arriving or departing.
Train
One of the easiest ways to get downtown from Denver International Airport is the RTD A-Line train, which runs directly from the airport to Union Station in downtown Denver. The ride takes about 37 minutes, trains run every 15 minutes for most of the day, and the station is located directly at the airport terminal. One-way fare is currently $10 per person. From Union Station, it’s a quick Uber/Lyft ride to the hotels and events in RiNo. Honestly, if you’re staying downtown for the weekend, you probably won’t need a rental car.

Please note that many of the rooms at The Catbird Hotel are lofted-style suites with stairs inside the room, so we’d recommend keeping that in mind when booking if stairs may be a concern.

Travel Note
Denver sits at 5,280 feet above sea level, and the altitude can affect people more than expected- especially during a busy weekend of traveling and celebrating. Water, electrolytes, and pacing yourself are all encouraged. October weather in Denver can vary pretty drastically, so we’d recommend checking the forecast right up to the weekend and packing layers accordingly. Even in October, the Colorado sun can still be very strong, so sunscreen may not be a bad idea either. All wedding events will take place in the RiNo neighborhood, which is very walkable and easy to navigate by Uber/Lyft. Renting a car should not be necessary. We’ll also be providing Uber vouchers within a designated radius during the wedding weekend to help everyone travel to events and hotels safely and easily.
