Through mutual friends, they were introduced after a Canfield High School Football Game in Fall 2012 – when Dylan was a senior and Kristen was a junior. They had instant chemistry and found a friendship that was effortless. The moment she got home that night, she messaged him first to continue the conversation. If you know Kristen, you understand how rare a text message response is from her. Throughout the year, the friendship would grow stronger & would attend Prom 2013 together & dance the night away.

When Dylan decided he was ready to pop the question, he knew he wanted to make it a surprise. In order to keep her from knowing the proposal was happening, he told her that he had a photography appointment (he used to do some sessions on the side for extra cash) at the Scioto Mile in Downtown Columbus. He told her that they would go to dinner after. When they arrived, he dropped to one knee. He hired a close family friend to take pictures so we could hold onto the memory forever. After the proposal, they did end up going to dinner, but to Kristen's surprise, all of their closest family and friends were there to celebrate the night. Coincidentally, the proposal was on the same exact date of his prom proposal that occurred 6 years before.
