Getting around LA (watch out for traffic)

The myth about LA traffic is very, very real. Gridlock consistently happens from 3-7, and then lots of times at random throughout the day. So allow extra time for your commutes, no matter where you're coming from! Depending on where you are, it can take longer to travel one mile than it would to travel 10.

The M Malibu

We booked a block of 15 rooms closer to the venue - this one is about 8 miles away, and in Malibu proper, right on the PCH! Heads up that each of their rooms only has one bed, and they don't have cots on the premises, so the rooms are great for guests flying solo or couples but probably not for larger groups. If you want to book a room here, just reach out to me at matthewlorenstein@gmail.com before August 26, when we have to release the block, and I'll get you in touch with them and they'll get your payment and stay info.

This is LA's main air travel hub. You're most likely to find direct flights in and out of here, rather than the smaller airports.

Much smaller than LAX, and not as many direct flights in and out, but much more low key of an air travel experience
