On dreary SF night, Kim had been binge-watching shows on Netflix when a notification had popped up on the tv asking her "Are you still watching?" At the same time, she received a text from her friend Aaron and Heather asking "Hey Kim, what are you up to? A friend of ours from LA is visiting, come out for drinks with us!" The introvert in her wanted to say no, but the reflection of herself in the television screen said, Kim, it's time you get out of bed and do something. So she got herself out of bed, put on her best mom jeans and headed down to the Southern Pacific Brewery in the Mission. Meanwhile Isaac was having a great time with his friends in the mission of San Francisco, when surprisingly a newcomer sat down across the table and introduced herself as "Kim". She caught Isaac's eye immediately, and Isaac knew he had to immediately lay on the dad jokes to try and impress this attractive new guest. "What kind of Thai food has the most attitude?" Isaac quipped, "Pad See EEEW" he boasted. Kim rolled her eyes and the next thing they knew they were making elaborate peanut butter sandwiches overlooking a foggy San Francisco evening at Twin Peaks.

Isaac planned a weekend trip with friends to San Francisco Mid December. A few weeks before the trip, Kim's boss surprised her with a trip to Disneyland...Dec 14th. Knowing that he'd have to be in Oakland the day before to pick up the ring, Isaac arranged for Kim to fly in Saturday morning after her trip to Disneyland. The flight was booked, and although the timing was tight, the proposal was on! A few days later, Kim got an offer from a big company that wanted her for a lettering event on December 16th. A return flight was booked, the three day weekend was now a one day weekend but the proposal was still on! Isaac drove to San Francisco Friday, picked up the ring the day before proposal. After a mild freakout in the car, Isaac met up with his friends to go over the plan. Isaac awoke the next day and hiked the trail that Kim planned to hike later that day with their friends. After he found the perfect spot, he drove to the airport to get Kim. After breakfast at the ferry building, Kim and Isaac joined friends to hike the Land’s End trail. Isaac tried his best to be calm, until eventually they reached Kim’s favorite spot; the labyrinth. Isaac motioned to his friends this was the spot, they replied with excited faces behind Kims back. To Isaac’s surprise there were dozens of people already there, and at the last moment Isaac remembered one of Kims only proposal requests was it not be in front of a large crowd. But the moment was set and Isaac couldn’t wait. Isaac asked their friends to take a photo of Kim and Isaac overlooking the bay. Isaac turned to Kim and told her he loved her and he wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Whatever speech was planned was forgotten and instead Isaac gave Kim kiss after kiss and then got down on one knee and asked “Kim will you marry me?” To which she replied “Yes!”, jumped on Isaac and then ran away before Isaac could put the ring on. Isaac caught her hand and put the ring on, the crowd cheered and the rest was history!
